Classes: The Shadowknight

Shadowknights - The evil warriors. A combination of fighter and necromancer, the shadowknight is a complex class to develop and play correctly.

What is the best strategy to develop and play your shadowknight? Can the shadowknight solo, and if so how? How should you play a shadowknight in a group? What skills and spells are the most and least useful for the shadowknight? What items should you be seeking for your shadowknight?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Shadowknight and read, rate and comment on what others have to say

If I want to speed work my weapon skills as a sub level 10 SK, is it possible for me to have my friend on his 65 Bard gain agg on a level 20ish mob, let it wail away at him, whilst I swing away?

Basically I know that a mob can be too low to work skills on, but can one also be too high.

I'm a Human SK or Innor wearing alot of gothic/frosted/etc armor with a FBS, Ornate rune blade, Lammy, Cheetari shield, Wraith bone hammer, and centi spear {however I use a dragoon dirk to work the skill}. I'm finding I do just fine solo and working 1 weapon skill, but it jsut seems hard to keep them all up to par!!! By the time I work my main up 5 a level and 1 of the others up 2 or 3, I ding and I'm now behind 10 on all the others!{i'm not even BOTHERING with archery}.

The mob will most likely aggro you instead of your friend. You should find a group that is about your level and ask them if you can practice your weapon skills on their mobs. Stay outside the group and wait until they have solid aggro and have done significant damage to the mob before you join in the fray to make sure you don't steal their experience. Most groups will welcome the extra damage output you provide as long as they understand what you are doing. This is also an excellent way to max out your archery skills.

It's good to see you concerned with your skills. It's an advantage to be able to pick up any weapon and use it. Before you go out, try to get Shaman buffs Harnessing of Spirit stacked with Dexterity. Skillups will be much faster with the extra 100 dex. Your theory with bard aggro should work, given the mob isn't too high.

The answer to your question is this:

Use the best weapon you have and dont worry about it. Skills raise so fast, its not even worth worrying about
