Ok I am back to EQ and actually trying to get back into the poisonous areas of being a rogue, problem being applying the poison to my daggers. You just have to right click it correct, and with VoA it can be from the bag. The particular problem I am having is that it always fails, and doesn't seem to want to skill up, my apply poison is at 91 skill lvl. The particular poison I am trying to apply is Brain Freeze a 181 DD poison. Which also is a system shock II lvl poison if that matters. Do I just need to find a lower lvl poison to get the skill up? But still why wouldn't the skill raise during the many times I have tried to apply the poison, even if it does fail. I am also guessing the poison doesn't poof anymore on failure, as it doesn't go poof when i get the failure message. I have also tried picking up the weapon out of my inventory onto my cursor and right clicking the poison, with the same negligible effect. Perhaps I am just being impatient, but I would think it would skill up eventually even if the poison is too high a lvl for the apply poison, or does the poison even matter for the apply poison skill?

I was just talking with someone about the Apply Poison. The hot key for apply poison apparently is very outdated and worthless. Instead just click on the potion bottle icon, which can be dragged to a hot key so that you do not have to open your inventory each time.
