Classes: The Rogue

Rogues - Masters of Stealth. With a variety of completely unique skills, and a fighting style all their own, rogues can be one of the more difficult classes to learn to develop and play correctly.

How should you play your rogue to best take advantage of his strengths and weaknesses? What skills are the most useful, and what is the best way to use those skills? Can a rogue be soloed, and if so how? How should you play your rogue in a group? What equipment should you be searching for?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Rogue and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Now first off this is not a gripe or a flame or anything, this just makes me wonder...

Ok I KNOW Warriors, and beastlords and i belive monks and rangers, all get 2 1 handed weapons for thier epic (at least 1.0) and rogues do not... i've never got this...

Ok Warriors get 2 1h slash that they can combine into a 2hs... this makes sense as warriors almost always use 2 1 handed slashing weapons...

Beastlords get 2 h2h weapons... well they use 2hb as often as they dw...

same with monks....

and rangers use bows often...

Rogues are ONLY duel wielding... they dont do anything else, they cant use 2h weapons at all, they dont do much ranged damage... so im currious why doesnt our epic give us a pair of daggers? just some thoughts

Classes that duel wield there epic weapons effect are (usually) at about 50% power of a single one handed epic weapon. For example, the ranger's Swiftwind and Earthcaller both have only 50hps apiece, while the rogues have 100. Duel wielding makes the weapons less desirable as they would be much more effective combined into one weapon.

Also, Rogues really shouldn't dual wield daggers. Generally for the offhand you want to go with a higher damage weapon like blunt or slashing. You only need a piercer in the main hand for any and all backstab related dps.
