i was wondering if the beastlord pet can equip any type(race class diety) of armor or just those specific to beastlords? when i get my permanent minion AA im hoping to stick some nice ac/hp/dex armor on him and make him a better tank. any ideas on cheap armor to put on him? also does req lvl affect him? i know lore doesnt. and what about summoned items? would those affect him the same as it would a PC? since he doesnt "log out" only you do. any help would be greatly appreicated. many thanks.

I had the same idea on my beast and to answer your question to my knowledge beast pets can use any armor that isn't no-dop HOWEVER dont go sticking magnetic armor on the warder too fast, remember any time you die all that gear will poof, regardless of any pet AA you have. I would suggest sticking with the mage summoned but get them to summon a set of phantom plate also. Cheap, easy and effective. Now time to go to the mage boards and ask if the plate (which is no-rent) stays on the pet after you log also. /shrug

im not COMPLETELY sure but i believe that pets with summoned items do lose the items after logging just like characters do

If you have the right AA's I know that your pet toys and buffs all stay on your pet if you put him away. I would have to guess on the Armor as even on Mag pets you can't see the phantom plate. sorry I can't be of anymore help.

As far as beastLords go I was not aware you could equip them with anything at all? every thing I have ever given my warder has imediatly returned to my inventory? BeastLords do not get pets they get warders all are animals with no hands to hold a weapon and like the Pet's of other classes.

give your pet a fine steel dagger, he'll do piercing dmg. Give him a fine steel sword, he'll do slashing dmg. Give your pet a weapon that procs an AE 3 wave nuke and they'll kill themselves slowly procing it lol, I know becuase that was in interesting day in echo caverns. "Warder" is just a word that means pet kinda, but saying "warder" puts them above normal skelletons and elementals. The reason skellies have a random name is becuase it's a random skeleton, the reason our warders are "Faehan's warder" is becuase it's the same animal from lvl 8 to lvl 68, don't let the fact you have to recast it fool you. lol the only reason the spells are called something different is to avoid buying the wrong one for your level.

Don't forget shrouding preserves everything. If you give your pet some nice gear/toys then shroud before you log out. De shroud when you log in and your pet is back with all toys.

Best thing I found to give a pet for a weapon is a weight poleax at low levels my pet hits for 50s most of the time you can find them for 5 to 10pp get a 600hp mage summoned belt and your pet shouldn't die and you can really kick some major mob bootie. Also other weapons are anything 22 damage + don't worry about delay pets don't have it (knocking on wood) hope sony don't find out and nerf it. My bst is currently 70th lvl and I still get my pet the pet gear when I can fiind it in bazaar. Good Luck
