Ok, since no one seems to know about the OT hammer and eigther the site is down or alla doesn't know much about it here's how you get a free gate item you can use as many times as you want.
For this you need kindly (or maybe better) faction which is some screwed up name but con the cliff golems in the "overthere" to find out. There is only one way to get this faction up and it takes ALOT of turn ins but at least the mobs are easy to spot and easy to kill.
Step 1. seek and destroy
Your first mission is to eliminate any sarnak BERZERKERS you can find. The item of interest is the sarnak war braid these creatures at times posses which you will be able to spot a zone away as a chicken/reptile thingy holding a whip. Collect an ungodly amount of these and report back.
Good job now you're ready for opperation "Get behind the Darky". For this next step you'll need to bug a shaman until he /ignores you or makes you a dark elf potion if you con ready to attack to the cliff golems. Doing so will make you apprenesive to captain rottgrime and all the other Kommies in the enemy encampment. Find this captain the drop off, now he may try to bribe you with goods and uber loots simply laugh in his face as you destroy his sad attemp. After tricking the enemy into regarding you amoungst there own it's time for your final task.
Finally the fruits of your labor are within grasp. Find an operative we've placed inside the camp for your reward. Seek out an undead foreman who will ask you for 2 jade for confirmation of the job completed he in return will hand you a hammer that will port you to him incase you recieve anymore intelligence. This is your mission, you will complete it because I have trained you well. good luck soldier.

4. keep your eyes open for dragoons, killing them is a bad thing.
5. If your toon has exp'ed in keasora it may be a bit harder to get your faction because everything in there is BAD FACTION.
6. BIG NOTE: If you con scowls at begging and use the illusion trick you will not see your present faction UNLESS you're in illusion which means regardless your faction with illusion you are KOS without.
7. This hammer will port you to a safe palce inside the city and you will have to invis and run out or train. (Some dragoons summon) You will be ported to a boat near the foreman next to an indif mob. Run off the boat TO THE RIGHT and go behind foreman and stay far away from fort while running from foreman to book if you are KoS, the captain and his pals will attack if you're too close.
8. No there is no faster way to get faction
9. Yes, this is very worth doing. I know being a beastlord how it feels to be the only one that has to run all the way back while others are waiting in PoK.
10. This is a long quest and the hammer procs at lvl 50 but you save alot of plat on potions (unless you have to buy invis, even then 12plat is better than 1K) and yes the gate IS A PROC so you'll have to be hitting something for it to kick in and with a delay of 50 I hope you have haste. I found just asking someone in group to duel you usually isn't a problem then it's just the matter of watching you try for 2 min's to get this stupid hammer to proc. Though once you have it it will put a smile on your face when you're stuck somewhere and get a free ride home, I've had mine since lvl 53 and have loved it ever since.
11. The hammer is giant so you'll need a bag that can handle it

I started this wuest a while ago, but since I was an iksar that had previously ruined my faction on a couple of VS raids, I got tired of farming the braids for faction. When you posted this info I decided to pick it back up, and accomplished enough faction (with dark elf illusion) for the hammer quest. However, my faction 'unillusionized' is still KoS. My question is wether or not I can safely appear on the boat every time near the indif skelly, or if there is a wanderer around.

Ur zone in is safe, but be careful not to fall into one of the holes on the deck of the boat. U will need RS3, sow, or some other way to run ur butt off. Spam /OOC train to PoK book and make a run for it. I have never had problems getting there (large train behind me ever time tho). Invis doesnt work, because the mobs around ur zone in point r undead. U will still be seen by the gaurds (invis) or undead (invis to undead). Best is to just run ur butt off.
This applies to KOS races or classes that have dieties that are hostile to the denizens of OT.

This little gem showed up in the SK forums. As an SK (who r notorious for flaming btw), this info about the OT hammer is way out of date, and the MOST painful way to get the Mallet. Please double check ur information before u post it.
