Im not completely understanding why Stamina is a big stat for necros, even at an early life. Sure, they trade health for mana, but its a near useless tool when your mana pool is lacking and you have too much health that will never even get used.
Going this route, i figured a deeper mana pool is fine when you have spells such as some kind of tic conversion and some form of tic leech on at the same time, you generally pull in more health than you lose, keep ago off of you and you wont lose more. You are generally fine at about 70% health before you really need a lifetap or leech.

Stamina for necros is an important factor. Old school days was all about the mana, but now with all the focus gear, tribute, AA's death bloom and death blossom and such, mana regen, has just quadrupled if not more. With our Lich line of spells and AA mana regen, there really isnt any need for a super hi mana pool. the more stamina you have with lich running, and knowing what amount your spells cost and how much you cast, you should never ever run out of mana. And now with the hi end mobs hitting more and some people "going purple" when they die, the more HP you have , the better your survivability is. My toon is lvl 100, with a mana pool of about 87k and unbuffed hp at 109k. even on the hardest raids, my mana never goes under 40% due to longer ticks and less mana cost. But always in the end , its how you yourself want to play your toon. giving it lower hps can make it alittle harder to play and some people like that to make it interesting and keep from having the class become routine and repetitive when kiting and/or root rotting. There really isnt a set way to build your toon, like i said, its all how you want to play your toon, and having fun with it.
