Classes: The Enchanter

Enchanter - the game's traffic cop. When the enchanter yells stop, creatures cease what they are doing and just wait to die. A complex class, enchanters get a variety of spells as well as a pet, and can be played in a number of different ways.

What is the best way to develop and play an enchanter? What spells are most and least important? Can an enchanter be soloed, and if so how? What skills are the most important for an enchanter? How should an enchanter be played in a group?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Enchanter and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

I have missed both Prophecy of Ro and Serpent's Spine expansion packs. I have a level 70 enchanter an am wondering where and how I would go about getting my spells for those two expansion packs. I don't even know where to start looking that's is why I'm coming to you fellow Enchanters. All info you guys can spare is appreciated.

I would search your spells from 65-75 and simply click into the spells that have TSS and PoR designations in the spell description. TSS spells rank 1 are all vendor bought, but some begin to get spendy (about 7k or so) at level 75. The POR ones are for the most part task based or quest based in some of the harder zones throughout the expansion. I would personally skip the devastation spell since you get an upgraded one that overwrites it in your spell book. The Aura spell is one to put your time into, I believe that comes from doing a groupable mission in north ro, I believe they are designated NRO 1, 2 and 3. NRO 1 gives a lesser spell and then NRO 3 gives the better one, if I am not mistaken...it has been a while for me.

Thank you for your response. What has me confused is this rank 1 2 and 3 junk for the TSS spells. So , unless I misunderstood what I have read, the only way to get your rank 3 spells is to raid? Is there no other high level/non raiding zone (like an mpg or rss)where you can get the runes at for the rank 3 versions?

The rank 1 spells are bought from a vendor in pixie land. The rank 2 spells drop from level 74+ mobs in general found in Icefall and higher zones like Ashengate, Valdeholm, Frostcrypt and the Mines. From the information I have the rank 3 spells will only drop in a TSS raid event/instance. At least that is the way it was designed and explained from the limited info Sony spit out.

Any other info about rank 3 that anyone else has please post it...

Rank 2 spells are tradeable, so you can buy them if you have the plat and they are in the bazaar.
