[/i]I am a lvl 61 Mage and am totally addicted! I believe duel weilding is around lvl 31 and I would like to add 'do not give up on the class'..the pets get better(51+ fire is a wizaaard,water a rogue,earth a warrior,air..lol well air stuns! Then theres the spells (wow) your going to love the spells, mana regen etc, the ldon spells are great ( i have all but 2 atm and they are a must) As for when to go for your Kael (coldain) armor as soon as you can get in a raid around lvl 40 and make sure you become on good terms with coldain, i am ally...the hardest thing I found about mage was how to make pp..if your soft hearted as I am, make lower lvl spells to sell in the bazaar cheap, and at my lvls now, just in pok alone (without advertising) i get plenty of requests for summoned items. at lvl 55 you get CoH wich i have found many fun ways to use this spell (ie when your friend or in my case hubby is in group with you "just like snap of the fingers" anytime i want him he's on my feet...I have 3 peices till i am an epic'd Mage and have started 6 alts, witch none yet have i taken too like mage.. My proudest moment I was sitting at the new arena off Lake Rathe and my lvl 65 Bard girl friend decided to let off an AOE spell and un beknownst to me (still sitting not paying attention) my lvl 50+ Earth pet unbuffed as she (the bard) attacked and killed her, then i got a tell Jo hun'your pet just killed me' she said that nothing she did could stop him at the time..So as for Mages and Solo'ing they say we can not kite,,,well I have no qualms here..just choose your pet to the mobs and go for it..ive soloed most of my epic and will continue to solo till Verant says enought of EQ and makes me do a mage on EQ2..have alot of fun with this class....
