Classes: The Ranger

Rangers - Master trackers. With the skills of both a fighter and a druid, plus some unique skills of their own, rangers can be very difficult to develop and have a number of different ways to be played.

What is the best way to play a ranger? Can a ranger be soloed, and if so how? How should you play a ranger within a group? What spells and skills are the most important for the ranger? How can you develop your ranger to be the most effective? What equipment and armor should your ranger be looking for?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Ranger and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

I've got a lvl 80 Ranger. I'm using a Planar Slaughterbow with Class 7 Drakebone Drakespike Arrows. I have Endless Quiver and the Fleeting Quiver. Based upon what I have read below, I am now going to concentrate on maxing out Trick Shot followed by Headshot.

Are there any other suggestions to increase my bow damage other than getting a better bow? Pretty much the bow I have is the best I will be able to get.

Thanks!

Get to level 81 then max Headshot, all else is irrelevant. Once you have that, start worrying about all the other AAs you want. Got to C2 in PoF and see them roll in like, well, like they do for necros and mages ;-)

I would recomend the AA Finishing Blow, often works on the bow, also does on melee. Only a small gain but is cool when it does
