Iksar would be my vote, Ogre a close second.

With stats being a low lvl concern, the playing field is pretty even. Once you get up in lvls the AC bonus that Iksars get is the best value imo. Ogre's get stun immunity from the front which is very nice too. But, Wariors are always concerned with HP's and AC so may as well take a class that gives the AC bonus. All the other stats can be offset.

**Edit** I do have to mention that both Ikky's and Ogres are hated races to most city's. Most players don't use cities anymore, but if your into the old time lore, these races would hinder you. Did I mention how freaking COOL the Ikky's look? lol Just pick a race you like it the best answer to your question.

Barb warriors have a great Stand over other races.. there still a Biger Race and has near the same STR and STA.. there not an Evil Race (Tho in todays EQ thats a low Prob) but there Starting area is a Much better jump around.. if you dont use the new up to Lvl 10 thing thay got.

Ogre. Unstunnable from the front is a HUGE advantage. Having it means you can continue generating aggro and dealing damage non-stop, even when tanking multiple mobs. Getting stunned every third or fourth time you take a hit simply wrecks your ability to generate aggro and increases the chance that you'll lose the mob's attention to someone in your group or raid who doesn't want it.
