Classes: The Warrior

Warriors - the tank class. Combining a powerful offense with a strong defense, warriors are best suited to slugging it out toe to toe with the monsters they face.

What is the best way to develop and play your warrior? What skills are the most useful for a warrior to develop and master? Can a warrior be soloed, and if so how? How should the warrior be played within a group? What weapons and armor whould the warrior seek out?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Warrior and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Sorry this may seem a bit noobish but is the a difference between Defensive and Stonewall? From the looks of the spell data here on alla Defensive is better it has the same mitigation makes you hit better and no snare, while Stonewall only has the mitigation and it snares you for the duration of the disc. Can anyone explain to me if the spell data is wrong or am i missing something.

Same mitigation on both, but Stonewall snares you with no reduction in DPS... Defensive reduces your DPS to ****** all with no snare

I use stonewall for soloing ****/ in a very controlled setting where I know what the mob's going to do and my DPS actually matters.

In a raid setting I use defensive, cause a DPS reduction isn't as important, and if the mob is pinned and pops out or is free-floating stonewall will incapacitate me if one little thing goes wrong.

Stonewall is most useful when the mob is perma-rooted, or you're soloing and the mob doesn't run.

Defensive is much better if you need to position the mob, because it is very difficult to move under stonewall.

Push-back is always fun with Stonewall as you can't walk backwards while using it. So, when the rogues and pets push the mob onto me I have to do a zig-zag to back up. Smiley: smile
